GROUP TOURS

Thanks for your interest in visiting Historic White Pine Village!  We hope that you will be pleased with our options and the uniqueness of our village.  We’re excited to share Mason County’s history with your tour group!

Historic White Pine Village opened in 1976 with eleven buildings.  One of those was the first Mason County Courthouse, which was built in 1849, and is on its original grounds.  Today, there are over twenty-five buildings to tour, including the Courthouse.  Many of the buildings are original and were moved to the village.  The exhibits encompass many areas of interest, such as maritime, lumbering, government, farm life, early education, businesses, blacksmithing, household décor, religion, music, health, sports, transportation, and life in general from the late 1800’s to the mid 1900’s.  There’s something for everyone!  We also have an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor in our Town Hall where snacks can be purchased, including locally made ice cream.  Our quaint Gift Shop will be open as well.  Visitors can browse through the gift shop containing locally made jam, honey, and maple syrup products, old-fashioned wooden toys, Historic White Pine Village memorabilia, shirts, books, and CDs by local artists such as the Scottville Clown Band, to mention a few items.

The regular admission price includes a self-guided tour of the village.  Normally, it takes between 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours to enjoy the entire village.  Visitors can stroll on the paths and take in the scenery and seasonal flowers, tour the themed buildings, and take a trip down memory lane.  Most of the buildings and paths are handicap accessible.  We also offer a Tour and Light Lunch Package.  For this admission price, visitors enjoy everything mentioned above as well as a light lunch served in our Dining Hall.  Another option is having an interpreter in one of the buildings or set up on the grounds.  For information on the various options, please see the pricing sheet enclosed. Tour booklets are available for $2.00 each.

We hope to see you soon!  Please call or e-mail the office to make sure that the day you would like to tour Historic White Pine Village is available, and then return the enclosed tour group form to make your reservation.
