Tour and Light Lunch Package

For groups of 10 to 70 interested in history.

The Mason County Historical Society at Historic White Pine Village would like to invite church groups and others to visit and experience our facility, Historic White Pine Village, as part of their touring/travel plans. We would welcome groups to travel to our village for a very enjoyable tour of over twenty-nine buildings and sites of history and then allow us to serve you a light lunch as part of your experience.

Your self-guided tour would be along our nostalgic and beautiful walkways. Enjoy strolling past or visiting the One Room School, 1855 Courthouse, Blacksmith Shop, General Store, Farmhouse and Siddon Print Shop. Three of our buildings are log and many others are original buildings moved to the village over the years. Historic White Pine Village depicts the history of Mason County through the use of artifacts and archives appropriately displayed in each building. You can preview our village by using the virtual tour on this web site.

Either at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of your tour we will serve you a light lunch. The menu might read as follows: Hot Meat Sandwich, Potato Chips, Relish Tray, Fresh Dessert, Lemonade and Coffee. Sorry, seconds are not included in the price, but can be purchased if desired.

This package, including tour and lunch, will be provided for a sum of $19.95 per person. Tour booklets are available for $2.00. In addition, our fine gift shop will be open for those interested.

Howard and Arlene Timmer, coordinators for Calvary Church, Grand Rapids, wrote of their visit; "They were fascinated by all of the tools, musical instruments, clocks, church and especially the hardware store. You served us a very nice lunch and the price was reasonable. We have and will continue to recommend your facility to other groups for a trip into the past".

Paula J. VanHofwegen, Secretary of Senior Adult Ministries of Grand Rapids First Assembly of God Church, wrote following their group "Forever Young" trip, "They were very impressed with everything they saw. Many in our group said that they learned things they never knew about this area. They were especially impressed with how your staff went out of their way to be informative and helpful. They also said how much they enjoyed the luncheon that was provided for them. All in all, they thought they received a very good value for the price of their tour".
