Each year a class is inducted into the Mason County Sports Hall of Fame.  These individuals from Mason County have achieved great honor in sports.  In a sports-rich community such as ours, there is a long list of worthy candidates for induction.  If you would like to nominate an individual, please write a letter of recommendation, including as many details as you can about the nominee.  Send your letter, with a photo if possible, to Mason County Sports Hall of Fame, 1687 S. Lakeshore Dr., Ludington, MI 49431.

The Sports Hall of Fame also awards the Male and Female High School Senior Athlete Award.  This is given to one male and one female from Mason County schools who have demonstrated the desire to "be the best" in their class, and to achieve at a high level during their high school athletic career.  Mason County has seen numerous fine athletes in our area schools.  The Board of Directors anxiously awaits the time when one of our High School Athlete Award Winners goes on to accomplish greatness in sports and is inducted as a permanent member of the Hall of Fame.

The Mason County Sports Hall of Fame Museum is open during the hours that Historic White Pine Village (HWPV) is open.  The Museum honors the inductees and provides a glimpse of Mason County's sports heritage that was long overlooked, and is meant to inspire, educate, and enhance awareness of those individuals and teams that are the best of our past.  Please see the HWPV website for admission rates, which include touring the entire village as well as the Sports Hall of Fame.
